*Subject:* *Pool report #17: Trump admits peace is tough*

We are back in the pool hold, after navigating through a security maze to get back here.
Some bullet points about the final statements from Trump and Netanyahu tonight.

* Netanyahu was eager to show off his close bond with Trump, calling him "Donald," as he has done throughout the day. "We had a terrific discussion today and when I say terrific it encompasses everything. I think we quote each other. We understand each other." He talked about the "blossoming friendship between our two beautiful wives."

* He praised Trump for the "reassertion of American leadership in the Middle East."
* He really piled on the praise, drawing a direct line from Lincoln to Trump: "the great Abraham Lincoln is reported to have said there was no city on earth he so much desired to see as Jerusalem. well,Mr. President,Donald, there is no city on earth where you are more welcome than right here with us in Jerusalem."

Trump's turn. He read from prepared remarks and for the most part reiterated everything he's already said throughout the day.
There was only one somewhat notable SHIFT on an issue.

* Recently, Trump has said that he believes "peace in the Middle East is "not as difficult as people have thought." On Monday night, he said, "I'veheard it's one of the toughest deals of all." And he sounded a little more tempered in his confidence: "But Ihave a feeling we're going to get there eventually," he said. "I hope."

Kushner, Greenblatt and Dermer were at the event. No sight of Ivanka. The Trumps and the Netanyahus are currently still at dinner at the PM's residence.
