The President and First Lady (in a sparkling white dress, not silver) left the party and went back upstairs at 7:36 p.m.

A travel/photo lid was called at 7:39 p.m.

A few quotes from Trump’s speech to the congressional ball:

“It’s been an incredible two years, it’s been very, very special,” Trump said. “No administration has done more in the first two years than the Trump administration,” he said to cheers and applause.

Trump pointed to tax cuts and regulation cuts, and two great new Supreme Court Justices. “And what people don’t know is that we’ve almost reached the 100 mark of federal judges, that’s a big, big mark.”

“And I think next week we have a chance to get criminal justice reform, they’ve been trying to do it for many, many years.”

“And next week it looks like the farm bill is in very, very good shape.”

Trump said the White House is special and they loved living in it. “To me it’s a happy place.”

This is going to be an exciting year and two years, he said. “I believe we’re going to get really good health care.”

Trump said he was happy there were so many Democrats at the party. “I have a lot of friends who are Democrats,” he said.

If Republicans and Democrats get together, we could end up with incredible health care, which is how it should have been from the start, he said.

“And the other thing they’re going to start working on very shortly is an infrastructure bill, because that’s something I think everybody wants to see,” Trump said.
