*Subject:* Pool Report #5: The rest of the Oval Office

Circling back around to the top of the pool spray.

President Trump and Prime Minister Abe sat facing each other. President Trump spoke first, stopping every few sentences to allow his remarks to be translated. Prime Minister Abe did the same.

Between their remarks they shared a handshake. Foreign pooler Scott Stewart already sent the PMs remarks, so I will not reinvent the wheel here.

A few highlights from what President Trump had to say:

Its my great honor to have the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, a great gentleman, highly respected, no matter where he goes anywhere in the world. And weve really become friends over the last period of time, since becoming president, weve gotten to know each other very well.

On G7: Well be having some further discussions, in addition to other countries being there with us. And well have some pretty good discussions. As you know, we leave from there. We leave for Singapore. So it will be a pretty crowded number of days. Very exciting, and I think a lot of good results can come about.

President Trump is the one who first brought up golf, talking about their game in Tokyo with one of the greatest golfers in the world and I realized he was a longer hitter than I was.

President Trump then answered a smattering of questions, which I already transcribed for you based on what I could hear in my recording. Please check everything, as always, against the transcript.
