Subject: Pool Report No. 4 - Trump comments

President Trump is now being interviewed by Larry Kudlow.

“Nobody wants to talk about the economy anymore so let’s talk about the economy,” Kudlow said.

Trump used the opportunity to talk about both the caravan and immigration.

Referencing the caravan the president reminded the room, “We want people to come in legally.”

If the “midterms don’t do so well for Republicans, I think you’re going to lose a lot of money,” Trump said. He pointed, however, to the reports of high early voter turnout, saying he had a “good feeling.”

Trump also whacked the European Union over trade.

“It’s been very difficult dealing with the European Union,” he said, adding that the U.S. is negotiating from “the position of strength.”

Trump says when he meets with world leaders and royalty he’s told first: “Congratulations what you’ve done on the economy.”
