Just wrapped Bi-Partisan panel of members of Congress.

Panel repeatedly highlighted the bipartisan nature of paid family leave.

Rep. Walorski says that she expects to next year to see “rock solid legislation” on this next year that will be a “bridge of hope” for single moms. Also says “it’s the new age of the American worker and no one is left behind.”


Rep. Wagner touted the New Parent Act and NDAA.

Rep. Allred says this is not a kind of issue that can be put off.

Rep. Crenshaw says the discussion is how to do paid leave in a sustainable way that won’t put more burden on the future generations.


Rep. Cunningham spoke from Dad’s perspective and need for Dad’s to be there for support for mothers, calls himself a Dad-vocate. Shares personal story of son’s birth and thanks people on stage for putting down partisan differences to help struggling families.

A bit of color from the Senate panel: Senator Rubio joked “It’s Huawei” after a technical glitch drawing chuckles from the crowd.


Senators championed Ivanka Trump for her efforts and for leading on the issue.
