Motorcade was on the move to Sheffer at 1:50 pm

Previous pool report ought to have said the president deplaned at 1:40 pm (not 12:40 pm).**

The other gentleman who greeted the president on the tarmac was Alex Triantafilou, chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party.

Heres more from the gaggle, thanks to co-pooler Anne Gearan:

The president is here to talk about he tax cut bill he signed in December - what its doing for the Ohio economy what its doing for businesses and employees across the state.

Touts these stats:

The unemployment rate in Ohio has fallen from. 5.1 percent to 4.7 percent under this president. The Ohio economy had created over 35k. jobs in the last 12 mos and 1 in 5 of those jobs has been in the manufacturing sector.
In 2018 the tax cut bill that the president signed will produce 8 billion dollars in tax relief for Ohio families.

Hes going to be talking to Sheffer Corporation, one of 4 companies we are going to be highlighting where we will have employees and executives talk about how the tax cut bill is helping them provide bonuses to employees.

The others are Fifth Third Bancorp Eastcycle and Jergens. (phonetic)

Last week two separate incidents on the Amtrak system claimed the lives of three people and injured many others - our thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones and our prayers are with those still recovering from their injuries. In the days weeks and months to come the professionals at the Department of Transportation who were the ones on the scene in a matter of hours will determine what went so horribly wrong and theyll determine what needs to be done so it doesnt happen again.

Unfortunately theyll be doing it without an administrator in place at the federal railroad administration because Senate Democrats led by Chuck Schumer have been holding up the nomination of Ron Battery, a highly qualified rail safety expert who was named by the president to the post more than 8 months ago....

*Q: Does president support releasing Dem memo?*

A: As weve said that memo it appears to be up for a vote later today in the House Intelligence Committee. If that memo is voted out and it comes to the White House we will consider it on the sale terms we considered the Nunes memo. Which is, to allow for a legal review, national security review led by the White House Counsels Office.
