*Subject:* White House pool report #3

The pool was ushered into the Oval Office at 12:50 p.m., where Trump was seated next to two men he described as supporters and told a story about how he gave one of the men $10,000 that was used to treat his father's cancer.

As the pool was being ushered out, reporters asked Trump about the release of a memo authored by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee.

The president said he'd release a "letter" about the memo soon.

The president was also asked about former staff secretary Rob Porter. Trump said "we wish him well" and that it is a "tough time" for Porter. "As you probably know he says he is innocent," Trump added. The president said Porter did "very well" in the White House.

Full quotes to come.
